Back to business as usual

After all the traveling and adjusting in February, we decided to get back to the basics and spend this month at home...establishing our routine without daddy.  The Lord continues to bless us in ways beyond our comprehension.

A childhood friend sensed a need in her friend...and without hesitation came running.  Melinda has always been apart of my life and will continue to be for as long as she will allow it :0.  Bless her heart, she went from being a single, busy Vanderbilt employee to running around crazy with a two year old boy.  I have to say, she handled her own very well!

Our first trip was to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium...

We did lots of walking and exploring

And lots of goofing around

We even managed to get a few workouts in

We had another ultrasound and the tech appropriately named him/her bc they wouldn't stop moving.

And here is our first "wild child"

We had picnics at Union Park

And it was back to the good 'ole life for Tobster

It was still too cold for water in the pool, but it still makes a nice play spot

Gav even helped a neighbor friend pick up pine cones in his yard.

This 'little' HUGE guy wandered up while we were playing in the woods.

After living in New Bern for 6 years, we finally made it to the Temple Baptist Church consignment sale.  Couldn't buy much for baby #2 but Gav racked up with a new sword and 'Thomas the train" bag

We were back to our Friday ritual of Storytime at the library, followed by Cow Cafe (and ice cream)

Resting on the couch watching Looney Tunes

I managed to squeeze in a couple of 5Ks this month.  The only downfall they were on the same day :).  The first one was my first mud race experience.  It was a good time, a little on the chilly side.  But overall a good time!

The kiddos all bundled up ready to cheer us on.

"Man it's hard work watching Mommy.  We need a snack."

The second run was a night race.  The first annual "New Bern Glow Run".  Although it was certainly not my best time, I was proud of myself for being 10 weeks pregnant and finishing under 26 minutes.

Although March was spent at home, we managed to pass the time.  Another Month bites the dust...
