Daddy Babysitting

One of the greatest blessings for me is to watch a man that I, pridefully, call my husband raise our son!  It truly leaves me speechless watching him tenderly care for his son...even watching him change a diaper is fun :)!  I hate having to work on days that Adam is off but it has it's perks too. I get to come home to Adam AND Gavin smiling from ear to ear, telling stories of the day, showing me pictures and videos of their "outings" they took that day.  To sum it up right, Gavin stayed in his diaper most of the day...because that's just "what men do."
Gavin practicing crawling with Tobiah in his sights :)

Trying to entice Gavin to roll over...which he practically does in his crib. But he refuses to roll while he is playing.
 A "G" burrito!
Yes, that is a stick in his mouth.  Another one of daddy's playtime ideas.  We figure that we gave Tobiah sticks as a puppy so why wouldn't we give Gav some too. LOL!
 and leaves too...

I can't even begin to describe how much fun Gavin had today with daddy.  He was absolutely exhausted by 6 o'clock.  All I can say is...Daddy Rocks!

First Easter

He is risen indeed!  What a blessed day for the Cromwell family.  We started it with a wonderful church service at Temple Baptist Church, followed by lunch at Outback with Kasey, the Capps, and the Boyers.  Gavin enjoyed his first restaurant outing in the "big-boy" seat.  With a little help from Kase-base, Gavin was entertained and enjoyed his own lunch...peas and sweet potatoes!

Union Park Fun

This weekend was a great one!  It was Easter weekend and Gavin's first.  On Saturday, the family decided to enjoy the weather and headed downtown to Union Point park.
Gavin enjoyed feeling the trees.  He thought he was big!

Tobiah decided to go shopping...we had to put him on a budget though :).

 Such a cheeser...
Gavin is getting used to wearing a hat too.  It doesn't seem to bother him at all.
Eating sweet taters in the park with daddy, mommy, and t-bone.  It doesn't get any better than that!

We had a blast.  Gavin was ready for a good snoozer after this outing.  Well come to think about it, we all were!

Hoppy Easter!

We made a trip to the New Bern mall in order to visit the new Children's Place store that recently opened.  On the way through the mall, we found...G loooovvveed him!

Our son is 6 months old...WOW!

He is quite the charmer, I must say.  He has made up for all the sleepless nights in laughter and joy.  He is such a happy baby.  We all learn more and more about each other every day.  We rarely have "bad" days anymore.  He has really grown into a beautiful, happy, boy.  Here are some pictures that, I think, illustrate what I am trying to say...

Big Mama's Visit

Like all family visits...we were sad to see this one end too!  Gavin has really grown over the past month.  He is sleeping well at night and for most naps so this makes for a happy baby!  Big Mama aka "biggie" had a blast making Gavin laugh, feeding him, and even babysitting while I went to work. Here are some pictures of Gavin eating peas.  He has tried peas and sweet potatoes so far.

Then we were invited to go to the park with the Capps family.  We enjoyed walking around the park and even a picnic lunch.

It has been a great visit and we look forward to seeing 'biggie" again soon!
