4 months old!!!

Wow!  Time has flown by.  I am used to counting each and every day for 6+ months while Adam is deployed.  Usually 4 months seems like FOREVER but not in this case.  Gavin has been such a blessing to us that time seems to be going way too fast!  He is learning more and more everyday.  He laughs, "talks", rolls over, sleeps at night :), grabs things with his hands, put things in his mouth, watches Tobiah play, and the list could go on and on.  We can't wait to see what God has around the corner for the Cromwell Family...

Gavin had his four month check-up too.  He was a champ, once again with the shots.  They don't seem to affect him very much.  He just took longer naps today :), which I'm not complaining about. He was in a great mood, otherwise. He weighed almost 15.5 lbs and is 25 inches long. So another blessing from God...he's a growing, healthy boy!  Bring on the next month and all the "new" things that come with it...

Daddy's Turn

We had another great weekend with great weather!  So guess what we did...yep, went on a walk.  Ha! This time Daddy decided to carry the munchkin.  I would say he did a GREAT job.

The sun was bright!

Notice how G likes to hold our hands

I know their eyes are closed but this picture really shows how much G looks like his daddy!

How funny is this?!?

Daddy did such a good job that Gavin passed out cold for the first time ever facing out. It was so cute.

It's that time again...

and I have to say, it's going to be one of the hardest moves we've ever done.  We have lived in New Bern now for 4 years (longer than we have ever lived anywhere-in our Marine Corps lives). With this time drawing near, we are getting the house ready to put on the market next week.  Some of our projects included, re-stretching the carpets, painting the BEAUTIFUL fence :), patching some walls, and yard work.  Here are some pics of us painting the fence.  I have to say, it is painful to do, but the fence looks awesome afterwards! Gavin was a great supervisor too!

Outdoors AGAIN!

I hope you don't get tired of seeing pictures of us taking walks....because they are a big part of our life.  We take advantage of each and every pretty day to head outside and get away from the world!  Notice who is now facing out, looking at the world around him...

After our walk...Gavin grabbed a bite from daddy!

Followed by story time with mommy...

Rollin' rollin' rollin' plus some

Gavin is 3.5 months and really "growing up" right before our eyes.  Its seems like he has started all these new things...overnight!  This week, Gavin figured out how to use his hands for holding things.  In the pictures below,  he is holding one of his favorite toys while watching TV.  I'm still not sure if his TV infatuation is a good thing.  Needless to say, we watch a lot of the food network.

We stumbled on the next big milestone by accident.  He is still being swaddled for naps and bedtime.  So after waking G up, we unswaddle him while he is still in the crib.  He loves to stretch his arms and laugh at us.  Well, this day, I jerked the swaddle out from under him (GENTLY playing with him) which caused him to roll over on his tummy.  He quickly pushed his chest up and rolled right back over onto his back.  I was shocked.  I turned him right back over to test if it was an accident....he did it again! and again! and again!

When Adam returned home from work, we showed him Gav's new moves.  His remark went a little something like this "just think Gav, if mommy was home ALL the TIME, you would be in second grade by now!"

Another UFC Night with the Shabazz Family

Gavin is really settling into a good routine now! The Shabazz's and the Huls children decided to head down to New Bern to watch the latest UFC Fight with us.  They arrived just in time to play with Gavin during his "long" wake time in the afternoon.  It starts around 4:00pm and he typically stays awake until he feeds again at 6:30pm.  This time is challenging yet lots of fun too!  It can be hard to keep him entertained but we have a lot of fun trying!  Samadah, Summer, and Steven did a great job keeping Gavin happy.

Shaheed and Steven decided to warm up before the big fight!  I'm pretty sure Steven won and from the looks of the pics below...he won BIG!

70 Degrees in February!

And we took advantage of it.  This week we are working on getting Gavin used to the BOB.  He last for about 10 minutes of riding and then starts his meltdown.  Now, in his defense, we go during his "fussy" time.  Yesterday it was 73 degrees so we called the Jones' girls and headed out for a walk....

After we got back home, the neighbors, Claire and Bailey came over to say "Hi" to Gav...

This is pretty much what we look like after 7:00pm at night...Tobiah and I sacked out on the couch and G-man asleep in his swing.

Yes mouth open...

Gavin with his glow worm

It doesn't get any better than this!

Next we need to catch Adam in the act...
