Shabazz Slumber Party

Once again, we found a way to "hang out" with our extended family...the Shabazz's.  It was our turn to spend the night in Sneads Ferry.  We had a jam packed weekend planned.  Saturday morning started off the normal way.  We woke up, fed Gavin, went for a morning walk with the family, then Gavin took his morning nap.  After he woke, it was on!  We loaded up the car and were off to "fun in the sun" or at least that was OUR plans.  God had other plans.  It began to rain as we entered Jacksonville so we decided to call off our beach plans and just hang out around the Shabazz house.  Shaheed began the afternoon by grilling up some wonderful shrimp, chicken legs, and veges!
Yes, it tasted as good as it looks!

Meanwhile, the rest of us enjoyed tossing the softball around at least until ONE of us got hit in the face...

Then it was time to eat, enjoy the company, and watch UFC later that night.

The next morning it was Andi's turn to work her magic in the kitchen.  We had french toast, bacon, and coffee.  Unfortunately we didn't snap a photo, but trust me, they were GRRRREAT!  We spent more time entertaining the G-man before it was time for his morning nap.

Shaheed and Adam decided to hit some golf balls while Andi, Samadah, Gavin, and I hung out on their rope swing.  Gavin loved it!

In true Shabazz/Cromwell fashion, (last minute) we decided to try the beach again.  It turned out to be a great idea.  Gavin really enjoyed the sand and the water.  He was a little unsure of the waves though.  Adam built G his very own "bath tub" in the sand.  Gavin spent a lot of his time there...just as content as can be.

It was a jammed packed weekend of fun fun fun!  Gavin's first beach experience was a success!
